Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with both medical and behavioral health needs
Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes
Collaborate with psychiatrists and the care team to support patients with secondary mental health diagnoses
Maintain a safe environment using video monitoring and behavioral health protocols
Float to support ED psych holds and other MedSurg units as needed
Document accurately in Cerner and ensure excellent continuity of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of MedSurg/Telemetry experience in a Level 1 trauma facility with 600+ beds
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Psychiatric experience is a plus but not required
Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start (two attempts allowed)
Ability to complete SIMs Lab skills on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
Comfort working with patients who have behavioral health needs
Excellent sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility to float to different units as patient needs arise
