Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care for ED holds awaiting placement on medical-surgical and telemetry units
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions
Support ED staff with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when needed
Float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and sister campus as census requires

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience within the past 6 months
Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills
Ability to pass RELIAS dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (2 attempts max)
Successful completion of SIM LAB on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Safe titration of Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Dysrhythmia recognition and response
Patient assessment and prioritization
Clear communication with physicians and care teams
