Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips monitors while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Administer non-titrating drips and manage patients on CPAP and high-flow oxygen
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, PCTs, RT, and pharmacy
Float to other telemetry units as needed to support patient care across the facility
Maintain sterile technique during procedures and complete required skills validations

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience preferred
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with up to two attempts
Must successfully complete SIMs Lab skills validation for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac stepdown and telemetry monitoring expertise
Proficient with Cerner EMR and bedside PCs
Comfortable floating between telemetry units
Skilled in sterile field maintenance and infection prevention
Experience with lung transplant, esophagectomy, and ER overflow patients
