Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Interpret telemetry strips and document findings each shift to ensure patient safety
Provide compassionate care for cardiac, post-cath, and medical-surgical patients
Monitor and support patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, and diabetes
Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to deliver seamless care
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to support the broader team
Administer set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem with precision
Work alongside nurse aides and respiratory therapists to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with CVA and TIA patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation time
Total joint replacement care experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry strip interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
Cardiac monitoring and post-cath patient care
Managing patients with CHF, COVID, respiratory, GI, and diabetic conditions
Cerner electronic medical record system
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams including RT and CNAs
