Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
Titrate cardiac and critical drips such as Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while managing arterial lines and advanced respiratory support
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient experience scores and communication
Float to MedSurg or ICU when needed, adapting quickly to changing patient acuity
Champion patient safety and satisfaction in a culturally diverse community

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90 percent score during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac and telemetry assessment skills
Experience with Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin drips
Comfort floating between PCU, MedSurg, and ICU as needed
Excellent communication and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Cultural sensitivity serving diverse patient populations
