Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled respiratory care to pediatric patients with compassion and precision
- Administer respiratory treatments and monitor patient response
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Perform respiratory assessments and document findings accurately
- Maintain equipment, follow infection control practices, and ensure patient safety
- Educate families and caregivers on respiratory care and use of equipment
Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist credential (CRT or RRT) in good standing
- Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain Ohio licensure
- Basic Life Support certification, additional certifications (PALS, ACLS) preferred
- Comfort working with pediatric patients and collaborating with family-centered care teams
- Strong communication skills and the ability to document care accurately
- Ability to pass facility onboarding and orientation requirements
Education
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program
- Completion of a respiratory therapy program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of respiratory care modalities and pediatric airway management
- Proficiency with ventilators and respiratory support equipment
- Ability to perform respiratory assessments and interpret patient data
- Familiarity with infection control standards and clinical documentation
- Teamwork mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
