Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 36 hours, Day (12 hour shifts), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver life-changing respiratory care by assessing patients and creating personalized treatment plans
Manage mechanical ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP units to help patients breathe easier
Perform ABGs, EKGs, and pulmonary function tests that guide critical treatment decisions
Assist with bronchoscopy procedures and ensure every patient receives safe, effective care
Educate patients and families on medications and equipment so they feel confident managing their health
Collaborate with nurses and physicians to adjust care plans based on real-time patient status

Qualifications

Registered Respiratory Therapist (R.R.T.) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license
Current ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience in an acute care setting
Basic computer skills to document care accurately and efficiently

Education

Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

Mechanical ventilator management and troubleshooting
ABG interpretation and pulse oximetry monitoring
Pulmonary function testing following ATS standards
Bronchoscopy assistance and EKG performance
Patient education and care coordination
