Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to patient changes
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with cardiac, vascular, renal, and respiratory needs
Float to Med-Surg or ICU when census requires, always maintaining PCU-level care standards
Champion patient experience by focusing on responsiveness, clear medication education, and a healing environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines and titratable drips
Minimum one year of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90 percent score during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
Arterial line management and troubleshooting
Titration of cardiac and vasoactive medications
Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
Flexibility to float and adapt to changing patient needs
Clear, empathetic communication with diverse patient populations
