Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver personalized occupational therapy interventions that help patients regain independence
Collaborate with PT, Speech Therapy, and nursing teams to create comprehensive rehab plans
Document patient progress using Cerner EMR and adjust treatment strategies as needed
Support patients through meaningful activities that improve daily living skills
Mentor and guide therapy aides to ensure seamless patient care on the unit

Qualifications

Current California Occupational Therapy license
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of experience in occupational therapy specialty
At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience preferred
Open to first-time travelers

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
Experience with Cerner electronic medical records
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehab team
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Comfortable working every third weekend and participating in holiday rotations
