Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM, varied shifts with a day off during the week when working a weekend shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care across acute care units including MedSurg, ICU, Telemetry, Oncology, and Cardiology
Deliver specialized treatment for ventilated patients and post-surgical ortho and total joint cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create personalized recovery plans
Support patients through their most critical healing moments in the hospital setting
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
Adapt quickly to varied patient needs and unit demands

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist license in California
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Strong background in ortho, total joints, ICU, and ventilated patient care
Comfortable working with diverse patient populations including MedSurg, Oncology, and Cardiology

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care physical therapy expertise
Cerner EMR proficiency
Experience with ventilated patients and ICU therapy
Orthopedic and total joint rehabilitation knowledge
Ability to work independently with minimal orientation
Strong clinical decision-making skills across multiple specialties
