Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adults in a 26-bed behavioral health unit
Build meaningful connections with geriatric patients while supporting their mental wellness journey
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans
Monitor patient safety and respond promptly to changing needs in a supportive environment
Educate patients and families about coping strategies and recovery resources

Qualifications

Active RN license in Utah or compact license
BLS certification required
Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing preferred
Strong communication and de-escalation skills
Compassionate approach to caring for older adults

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric psychiatric conditions including dementia and bipolar disorder
Ability to work effectively within a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
Comfort working in a unit with a seclusion room for patient safety
Flexibility to work every third weekend and holidays as needed
Team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal abilities
