Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Grand Island, Nebraska
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Titrate critical drips like Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia to support safe deliveries
- Monitor and support mothers through every stage of childbirth and recovery
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
- Educate and empower families on breastfeeding and newborn care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Willingness to follow facility policies including no artificial nails
Knowledge & Skills
- Labor and delivery expertise
- Titration of Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia drips
- Postpartum and antepartum care
- Patient education and family support
- AWHONN staffing guideline awareness
