Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver meaningful occupational therapy services to patients recovering from spinal cord injuries, strokes, and brain injuries
- Provide hands-on care across inpatient rehab, general medical-surgical floors, and outpatient clinics
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patients with ortho, neuro, cardiac, and bariatric needs
- Conduct evaluations and create individualized treatment plans that promote independence and recovery
- Support swallow studies and specialized programs such as lymphedema when working in outpatient settings
Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist license in California
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience with spinal cord injuries, stroke recovery, and brain injury rehabilitation
- Comfort working with ortho, neuro, cardiac, and bariatric patient populations
- Ability to adapt to both inpatient and outpatient environments
- Familiarity with swallow studies (preferred for OT roles)
- Reliable and flexible with weekend and holiday coverage
