Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor and titrate cardiac drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
- Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to patient changes
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient experiences
- Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level care standards
- Support patients and families through education about medications and care plans
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Competency managing arterial lines
- Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong cardiac monitoring and drip titration skills
- Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips independently
- Experience with high-flow oxygen therapy and basic respiratory equipment
- Excellent communication and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Cultural sensitivity serving diverse patient populations
