Respiratory Therapist
Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
Start Date: 06-15-2026
End Date: 09-14-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert respiratory care across neonatal to geriatric patients in a Level II trauma center
- Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment including Airvo, PB 840, PB 980, and Hamilton C1
- Deliver specialized NICU respiratory support while collaborating closely with physicians
- Cover all clinical areas throughout the facility including ICU, surgical, medical, and cardiac units
- Make independent clinical judgments that directly impact patient outcomes
- Build meaningful relationships with a friendly, multidisciplinary team that values your expertise
Qualifications
- Current RRT or CRT credential required
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Active North Dakota state respiratory therapy license
- Proven NICU experience essential
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong ventilator management skills across multiple platforms
- Comfort working with neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Independent decision-making and clinical reasoning
- Adaptability across inpatient, ER, and specialty care settings
