Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across both MedSurg and ER settings, floating between units as needed
Admit, discharge, and transfer patients while maintaining excellent continuity of care
Titrate critical drips including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed with precision and safety
Start IVs, manage PICC lines and ports, and respond confidently to codes and traumas
Read and interpret cardiac strips independently while documenting thoroughly
Collaborate directly with hospitalists and coordinate flight transport when higher-level care is required

Qualifications

Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum ER experience essential for consideration
Comfortable working independently with minimal staffing support
Strong communication skills for direct collaboration with hospitalists
Ability to adapt quickly and handle diverse patient acuity levels

Knowledge & Skills

Meditech EMR documentation
Cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation
Emergency response protocols including stroke, sepsis, and cardiorespiratory codes
EMTALA compliance and flight transport coordination
Titration of critical medications and drip management
Swing bed rehabilitation and acute MedSurg patient care
