Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances residents' quality of life
Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Coordinate individualized plans of care to meet each resident's unique needs
Maintain strong assessment skills and ensure accurate, timely medication administration
Uphold the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
Apply universal precautions and maintain rigorous infection control standards
Create a safe environment by identifying and addressing safety concerns for residents, visitors, and staff

Qualifications

Active Alaska LPN licensure required
Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship program available
Associate's degree in nursing or equivalent

Education

Associate's degree in nursing or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
Leadership abilities to guide and support nursing staff
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centered care and safety standards
Ability to follow individualized care plans and adapt to resident needs
