Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate telemetry nursing care to adult patients on assigned unit
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly escalate significant changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders and protocols
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly in the chart
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond quickly and effectively to clinical emergencies and code situations
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (or compact RN license where applicable)
• Telemetry experience preferred; comfortable with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Solid clinical assessment and IV medication administration skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team
• Ability to pass required background checks and credentialing for per-diem staff

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
• Skilled in electronic health record documentation
• Strong clinical judgment and prioritization abilities
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Basic wound care and patient assessment skills
• Team collaboration and handoff communication
• Time management during busy overnight shifts
• Patient education and family communication
