Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document the condition of telemetry patients with attention to detail
• Recognize and report changes in cardiac rhythms and patient status promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and self-care after discharge
• Participate actively in orientation and ongoing training to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Experience or training in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Ability to complete facility onboarding, background checks, and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Comprehensive patient assessment and vital signs management
• Safe medication administration and documentation practices
• Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Comfort using electronic charting systems and maintaining accurate records
