Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced cardiac and progressive care nursing for intermediate acuity patients
• Continuously monitor telemetry and interpret EKGs to detect and respond to changes
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and other drips safely and accurately
• Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments every six hours and document comprehensively
• Manage invasive lines and devices including chest tubes, tracheostomies, DHTs, and CVCs
• Support early patient mobility and help patients with ADLs to improve recovery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate timely, individualized care
• Actively participate in unit practices that maintain high patient satisfaction and quality metrics

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing (required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry, PCU, or critical care nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated advanced skills in IV insertion, chest tube care, DHT/NG management, tracheostomy care, and CVC management
• Proven ability to interpret EKGs and manage cardiac drips
• Comfortable working with unit technology including Meditech, Phillips telemetry, and Alaris pumps
• Team player who can float as needed and support a positive unit culture

Education

• Current RN license (required)
• ADN or BSN (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Meditech electronic documentation
• Alaris infusion pumps and Phillips telemetry systems
• Experience with MobiLab, iMobile/PatientKeeper workflows
• Wound vac management and specimen collection processes
• Management of DKA and complex cardiac medication titrations
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
