Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to PCU patients — your clinical judgment matters
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor telemetry and vital signs closely
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following unit protocols
• Document patient status and care accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and implement patient-centered care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns to the care team

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — this role is for an RN comfortable in a PCU setting
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (as listed in the job posting)
• Previous PCU or progressive care experience preferred
• Comfort with monitoring and managing higher-acuity patients in a step-down environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and trending of telemetry data
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Skilled in clinical documentation and handoff communication
• Critical thinking and quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment
• Teamwork, adaptability, and patient-centered bedside manner
