Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a 35-bed PCU
Monitor and titrate IV drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and patient care techs to maintain a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Assess and manage patients with cardiac conditions, nephrology issues, strokes, and continuous EEG monitoring
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
Maintain positive communication and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted RN license in Nebraska
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Driver's license required to verify 50-mile radius from facility
Must not be employed by any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility within 50 miles
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
Excellent communication and teamwork
Ability to titrate and manage IV drips
Comfort with fast-paced, ever-changing patient conditions
Flexibility to float to different units
