Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every 3rd weekend and 3 of 6 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Monitor and assess patients' conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Perform advanced procedures such as Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes while maintaining sterile field
Participate in SIMs Lab to demonstrate competency in critical skills
Float to Mother Baby and Labor Care units as needed, providing baby-only care
Educate and support families during their NICU journey

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Previous travel experience preferred
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Cardiac STABLE certification preferred
Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Ability to maintain sterile field and pass SIMs Lab skills

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical care nursing skills for neonates
Knowledge of neonatal assessment, interventions, and equipment
Competency in sterile technique and central line care
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to fast-paced, high-acuity environment
