Location: Pueblo, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Block scheduling, typically Monday-Friday day shifts, with every other weekend and holiday coverage

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for acute inpatient populations
Facilitate early mobilization and functional mobility assessments
Determine patients' mobility status and safety for discharge to home or rehab
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including COTAs and nursing staff
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for medical, surgical, and ICU patients

Qualifications

Current Colorado Occupational Therapy license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of 8-10 patients daily
Experience in acute care, including ICU and medical/surgical settings preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Early mobilization techniques
Patient mobility assessment and discharge planning
Acute inpatient care for CVA, neuropathy, and general weakness
Orthopedic and surgical patient management
Collaboration with rehabilitation aides and assistants
