Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-13-2026

End Date: 09-12-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Mostly 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM one day per week; weekend rotation every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide acute inpatient physical therapy services to a diverse patient population including general medical/deconditioned, post-surgical (TKA, THA, spinal surgery), and orthopedic patients
Cover Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER units as needed
Collaborate with rehab team and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
Participate in department orientation and training

Qualifications

Current California Physical Therapy license
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience required
Ability to work one weekend every third weekend

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical reasoning and patient assessment skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient in electronic medical records
Knowledge of acute care protocols and safety standards
