Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for acute care patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes across ortho, neuro, oncology, and critical care
Document patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR
Supervise PTAs and rehab aides to ensure quality care
Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as needed
Precept new staff when required by the unit

Qualifications

Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Texas
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred
BLS certification required
Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in acute care physical therapy
Proficient in Meditech EMR system
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage a caseload of 1 evaluation per hour or 10 treatments per 8-hour shift
