Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on a fast-paced PCU unit
Monitor and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Assess and manage patients with stroke, diabetes, renal conditions, and continuous EEG monitoring
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create and implement care plans
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license at time of submittal
Ability to pass an open-book exam on skills with a 90% during orientation
Minimum 2 years of PCU or ICU experience strongly preferred
Strong communication, critical thinking, and a positive attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
Skilled in IV therapy, medication titration, and drip management
Expert patient assessment and clinical reasoning
Experience with continuous EEG monitoring and seizure management
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
