Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 8-hour shifts, every other weekend, with rotating call (30-minute response time); 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality X-ray examinations with precision and care
Operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment safely and effectively
Utilize Radnet and Merge Unity PACS for accurate image management
Float to Mercy Southwest (approx. 6.5 miles away) as needed to support patient care
Collaborate with lead technologist and radiologists to ensure optimal workflow

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Active ARRT certification in Radiography
Current BLS certification from AHA or equivalent
Ability to float between facilities and adapt to different environments

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with GE and Toshiba X-ray systems
Experience with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS
Strong patient interaction and safety skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume department (100 studies per day)
