Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population on a mixed PCU/Med Surg/Oncology unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for reactions
Monitor and titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation
Float to other PCU and Med Surg units as needed
Participate in hourly rounding to ensure patient satisfaction

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/Med Surg/Oncology experience
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification preferred
EPIC experience within 6 months preferred but not required
Driver's license required for verification of distance from facility

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical record
Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing
Experience with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
Ability to titrate drips such as heparin and cardizem
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Commitment to patient-centered care and hourly rounding
