Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), including every other weekend and holidays

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to adult patients in a 40-bed PCU with a focus on cardiac, medical-surgical, and critical care
Monitor and titrate IV drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses, patient care techs (1:12 ratio), and interdisciplinary staff
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to support patient acuity
Participate in an open-book skills exam during orientation to ensure competency

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in arterial line management
Experience with telemetry and reading strips
Flexible, adaptable team player with excellent communication skills
Willingness to learn and take feedback to succeed in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in managing cardiac drips and titratable medications
Skilled in high-flow oxygen therapy and troubleshooting
Comfortable with vein finders, bladder scanners, and patient lifts
Understanding of patient experience scores and communication strategies
