Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse adult-geriatric patient population
• Float across multiple Med/Surg and Telemetry units within a 60-mile zone, including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, rehab, and more
• Titrate heparin drips and manage telemetry monitoring
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to different facility protocols and patient acuities
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (NLC)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Willingness to float within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) as assigned
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet weekend/holiday requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with heparin titration and cardiac drips
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for diverse patient populations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and adaptability for floating across multiple units
