Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, self-scheduling with cyclic rotation, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med Surg and Ortho patients, including total joint replacements and spine surgeries
Administer medications, IV therapies, and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families on post-surgical recovery and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies
Float to MedSurg, rehab, or PCU as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS certification required
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg or Ortho experience preferred
Driver's license required for radius verification
Must reside outside 50 miles from facility
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient in pain management and wound care
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient assignments
Willingness to learn and take ownership of patient outcomes
