Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional care to neuro patients including post-surgical, post-crani, spine, and CVA post-TPA cases
Interpret EKGs and monitor centralized telemetry for up to 4 patients
Maintain sterile field and pass competency exams on day one
Collaborate with charge nurse, clinical supervisor, and PCTs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform thorough assessments and document accurately
Educate patients and families on neuro conditions and recovery plans

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in neuro or telemetry (within past 6 months)
Active and unrestricted RN license in Arizona or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam via RELIAS within 48 hours of offer (max 2 attempts)
COVID vaccine or approved declination required
Willingness to pass a sterile field exam on orientation day

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry and EKG interpretation skills
Expertise in sterile technique
Comfortable with neuro patient populations and conditions
Ability to work in a fast-paced 28-bed unit with 1:3-4 ratios
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
