Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology patients on a 32-bed acute telemetry unit
Monitor telemetry and interpret EKG rhythms with confidence
Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with sterile technique
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses, PCTs, and SWAT RNs
Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed to support the team
Administer chemotherapy (if certified) and manage a 1:4 patient ratio

Qualifications

Current RN license valid in Arizona (or compact state)
BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required
Chemotherapy certification is a big plus
Minimum 2 years of oncology or telemetry experience preferred
Must pass a DYS exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
Comfortable with sterile field and SIM lab skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in oncology nursing and telemetry monitoring
Proficient in Cerner EMR
Skilled in EKG interpretation
Competent in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Knowledge of Bipap, Cpap, and IV access support
Understanding of sterile field maintenance
