Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients
• Monitor patient condition, identify changes, and communicate effectively with the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to hospital policy
• Perform thorough and accurate documentation to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to create meaningful care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact state eligibility
• Clinical Med/Surg experience preferred; per-diem experience is welcome
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS helpful
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to variable scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-centered approach to patient care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid Med/Surg clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and documentation best practices
• Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Compassionate patient education and family communication skills
