Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered Med/Surg nursing care with professionalism and compassion
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately in the medical record
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and facility policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns when appropriate
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures and discharge instructions to support recovery
• Maintain safe, organized and efficient documentation and handoffs during shift changes

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or valid compact RN license
• Med/Surg clinical experience (experience preferred; facility will verify specific requirements)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications encouraged
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and deliver consistent, high-quality patient care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and standards of care
• Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital sign monitoring and postop care
• Competence with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Team-focused attitude with strong prioritization and time management skills
