Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit with compassion and clinical excellence
• Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans to support recovery
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and uphold unit policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Current RN license or eligibility to practice in New Hampshire (Compact RN holders encouraged to apply)
• BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
• Previous Med/Surg clinical experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and function well within a team-focused environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing principles and common medical-surgical conditions
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Proficient in patient assessment, documentation, and electronic health records
• Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced setting and respond to changing patient needs
• Teamwork, empathy, and a patient-first attitude
