Shift Type: 12.5-hour per diem shifts (exact start/end times vary by schedule); days and evenings as assigned; Med/Surg shift

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status and changes in condition promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families about condition, treatments, and discharge needs
- Participate in orientation and unit education to maintain high standards of care
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation and follow hospital policies
Qualifications
- Current RN license in New Hampshire or compact RN license eligible for practice in NH
- Previous Med/Surg nursing experience preferred; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and specialty certifications a plus
- Comfort with 12.5-hour shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and effective communication skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred but not required.
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid Med/Surg clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Team-oriented mindset and strong patient advocacy
