Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on Med/Surg and pediatric units
- Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor status, and document changes accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to develop and follow care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Participate actively in orientation and ongoing learning to ensure excellent patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (MO) or compact RN license
- Experience working in Med/Surg and pediatric patient care (skills listed in job posting)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Available to complete required orientation starting 2026-04-15 (Facility timezone: America/Chicago)
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and pediatric care considerations
- Proficient in patient assessment, monitoring, and clinical documentation
- Familiarity with infection control, medication administration, and safety protocols
- Teamwork and effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Ability to learn facility-specific workflows during orientation and apply them confidently
