Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for Med/Surg and pediatric patients
Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate excellent care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Accurately document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the chart
Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain best practices
Advocate for patients and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment

Qualifications

Active California Registered Nurse license required
BLS certification required; PALS or pediatric-specific certifications highly regarded
Experience in Med/Surg and/or pediatric nursing preferred
Strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg nursing principles and pediatric care fundamentals
IV therapy and medication administration best practices
Patient and family education techniques
Accurate electronic health record documentation
Time management, prioritization, and triage skills
Team collaboration and clear interdisciplinary communication
