Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on Med/Surg units
• Perform thorough assessments and develop timely care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Document care in the electronic health record with clarity and accuracy
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans
• Maintain infection control standards and promote a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ability to practice in Hawaii preferred
• Med/Surg experience or demonstrated competency in adult medical-surgical care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
• Comfortable with electronic health record charting
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts reliably as a per diem clinician

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required/preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of adult medical-surgical nursing principles
• Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and patient assessment
• Proficient in prioritization, time management, and bedside documentation
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and changing clinical environments
• Strong interpersonal skills to support patients, families, and staff
