Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) nursing care to birthing patients
• Perform fetal monitoring and timely assessment to support safe deliveries
• Deliver neonatal resuscitation and stabilization when needed, following NRP protocols
• Triaging patients and coordinating care with OB providers, pediatrics and ancillary teams
• Support family-centered care by educating and coaching new parents through recovery and newborn care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to safety and infection-control standards
• Participate in GYN surgical care and assist with perioperative needs as required

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• AHA ACLS required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• PALS preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent verification required (CAP requirement)
• Experience in triage, labor & delivery and postpartum required; nursery experience preferred
• Basic fetal monitoring skills and neonatal stabilization experience preferred; STABLE and Perinatal RNC are a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (verification required due to CAP moderate complexity testing requirements)

Knowledge & Skills

• Maternal-newborn nursing fundamentals and family-centered care
• Labor & Delivery workflows and LDRP best practices
• Fetal monitoring interpretation and intervention
• Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization techniques
• Triage assessment and prioritization in obstetric settings
• Postpartum and newborn care education for families
• GYN surgical care familiarity and perioperative support
