Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care to laboring mothers and their newborns in a dynamic LDRP unit
Monitor fetal heart rates and support safe deliveries using advanced technology like GE fetal monitors and wireless Monica systems
Assist with cervical ripening, inductions, and high-risk maternal patients while collaborating with MFM specialists
Deliver outstanding couplet care on postpartum, ensuring both mom and baby thrive with ratios up to 1:3
Support C-sections, tubal ligations, and special procedures while maintaining a calm, family-centered environment
Care for patients in our special care nursery and prepare for the upcoming Level II NICU expansion

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact license
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor or Postpartum experience
Current NRP, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
STABLE certification preferred
LDRP experience and baby-catching skills are a big plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong Labor & Delivery and Postpartum skills
Comfortable with Alaris pumps, Giraffe warmers, and GE Centricity/CPN & Meditech EMR
Ability to flex between labor, postpartum, and special care nursery as census changes
Positive, proactive attitude and a true team-player spirit
