Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret complex patient data and communicate changes promptly
• Administer medications and manage advanced IV infusions safely
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Perform thorough assessments and document interventions accurately
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure patient safety at all times

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Previous ICU/critical care clinical experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work nights and adapt quickly to changing clinical environments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Completion of clinical training in acute/critical care settings

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of ICU equipment and monitoring systems
• Skill in interpreting arterial blood gases and hemodynamic parameters
• Proficiency with EHR documentation and electronic charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively in urgent situations
• Competence in medication administration and titration of critical meds
• Strong patient advocacy and family communication capabilities
