Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and manage critically ill patients in the ICU setting with accuracy and compassion
• Monitor vital signs and advanced hemodynamic parameters, responding swiftly to changes
• Administer medications and advanced life support measures following ACLS/BLS protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans
• Document patient progress, interventions, and handoffs clearly and thoroughly
• Provide education and support to patients and families during high-stress situations
• Participate in rapid response and crisis interventions as needed

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Colorado RN license
• Minimum: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN preferred
• BLS required and ACLS required
• PALS preferred
• Clinical experience in ICU or critical care (ICU nursing experience preferred)
• Comfort working nights and in a fast-paced, crisis-response environment

Education

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong foundation in ICU nursing and Med/Surg principles
• Proficiency with critical care monitoring and equipment
• Ability to perform focused patient assessments and prioritize care
• Comfort with advanced cardiac life support protocols (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS)
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Adaptability and calm under pressure during rapid response situations
