Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care across ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg patients on a single combined unit
Titrate sedation, vasopressors, and insulin drips to keep patients stable and comfortable
Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret 12-lead EKGs, and respond swiftly to changes in condition
Collaborate with charge nurses and respiratory therapists to deliver seamless, team-based care
Float to sister units and the West Campus when needed, expanding your skill set while supporting the broader hospital family

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg in a larger facility with strong skills
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with at least 80% on the first or second attempt
Comfortable floating to adult Med-Surg and Pediatric units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical care assessment and drip titration skills
Proficient with vents, BiPAP, CPAP, and bedside cardiac monitoring
Excellent communication and adaptability when floating between units
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to take on standby rotations during low census
