Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
Titrate and manage critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring with centralized telemetry
Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Float to all inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support system-wide needs
Respond to Rapid Response Teams and Codes alongside the Charge Nurse
Manage advanced equipment such as vents, CRRT, Impella, balloon pumps, ICP monitoring, and hypothermia protocols

Qualifications

Active RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation
Willingness to adhere to the facility's no artificial nails policy in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity settings
Experience with neuro, cardiac, and multi-system organ failure patients
Comfort with real-time training on advanced monitoring and life-support equipment
Positive attitude, adaptability, and collaborative spirit
Ability to ask questions and foster a supportive team environment
