Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU environment
Assess, monitor, and respond to complex changes in patient status
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and advanced therapies safely and accurately
Perform timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery expectations
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Current RN license for Louisiana (required)
Critical Care/ICU experience (preferred; demonstrated ability to manage ventilators, drips, and hemodynamic monitoring)
BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or required depending on unit
Excellent assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments

Education

Active RN license in Louisiana; ADN or BSN acceptable (BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of critical care principles and ICU protocols
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
Skilled in medication administration, IV therapy, and infusion pump use
Effective teamwork, prioritization, and crisis management abilities
