Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult ICU patients with trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory conditions
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications to maintain patient stability
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips using GE equipment while collaborating with tele tech oversight
Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Respond to on-call situations within 30 minutes when required
Collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs to deliver excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Knowledge & Skills

ICU nursing with telemetry monitoring and drip titration
Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and document appropriately
Comfort managing vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Flexibility to float to PCU and MedSurg as census dictates
