Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced monitoring and assessments for critically ill patients, identifying changes in condition quickly
• Perform clinical interventions and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes
• Deliver high-acuity nursing care in the ICU/CCU environment using evidence-based practice
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clear handoffs at shift change
• Educate patients and families about conditions, plans of care, and interventions with compassion
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance patient care

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS (AHA) and TNCC required for GSR ICU-CCU
• PALS preferred
• Previous ICU experience preferred
• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required (CAP moderate complexity testing requirement)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (verification required by CAP)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient monitoring and early recognition of clinical deterioration
• Critical care nursing and CCU/ICU best practices
• Skilled in assessments and implementing clinical interventions
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and teamwork
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
